Amanda Gatton Online Art Gallery, Level One: Teaching Art for Kids

My favorite way to enjoy and create art is by teaching art to kids! Just as my art hero, Ed Emberley, taught me to draw, I am now paying it forward by sharing the love of art with new generations. Presently, I offer classes on an online platform to kids around the globe at a school called Outschool. I love to teach kids about many different types of art, while also teaching them about the world around us, and the environment. Some of my most popular classes involve learning to draw an animal in two art styles, “folk art,” and “kawaii,” or cute art.

Another fun style of art I love to explore with my students is the pop art style, again, drawing a wide variety of animals!

Another one of my passions happens to be fairytales and literacy! I use art to teach about these subjects as well. I love to illustrate fairytales using an art style called “double exposure.”

I also love, love, LOVE, creating how to draw illustrated guides! I offer these and video drawing tutorials right here on my blog.

You can find more about my classes here and my YouTube drawing channel here
